"Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend"
O maior diamante do Mundo foi encontrado na África do Sul. De acordo com a imprensa local, esta pedra preciosa de cerca de 7.000 carats foi descoberta numa mina no Noroeste do País.
O diamante terá cerca de 1,4kg, e o tamanho aproximado de uma bola de futebol, ou seja, quase o dobro do maior diamante até agora conhecido, o Cullinan, que tinha sido também descoberto na África do Sul, em 1905. Este diamante tinha 3.106 carats. Um carat corresponde a um quinto de grama.
O Cullinan deu origem àquele que é hoje o segundo maior diamante de corte do Mundo, o Estrela de Áfica, com 530 carats, que se encontra no ceptro da família real britânica, na Torre de Londres.

A curiosidade matou a gata...
Há uns tempos apeteceu-me espreitar um daqueles sites de horóscopos e tentar saber mais qualquer coisinha sobre mim...
Resultado não aprendi nada e agora tenho constantemente na minha caixa postal e-mails premonitório-hilariantes...
Hoje recebi este que passo a transcrever em baixo e que suscitou a minha curiosidade...fiquei temporáriamente suspensa...Será???

Olá, como estás?
Eu sei, eu sei que não tenho estado muito presente, aliás desaparecida será a palavra mais correcta, certo?
Desculpa, sei que tens sentido a minha falta e que este género de desaparecimentos não são aceitáveis...eu sei que te preocupei, desculpa mais uma vez!!! Mas eu estou bem...e o mais incrível é que não tenho nenhuma boa desculpa...trabalho, trabalho e mais trabalho...(cada vez considero mais que férias só são boas se forem nossas, não concordas?:-))
Sabes o que me aconteceu (e isto não é uma desculpa)? O meu portátil avariou...nem queria acreditar...foi de repente, ninguém estava à espera (lol)...mas pelo menos consegui fazer backup!!! Acreditas que até fiquei com os olhos embaciados? Sou tão tótó, não sou? Devia estar feliz porque quase de certeza vou ter um outro portátil novo...mas não fiquei...como é que nos habituamos tanto a estes objectos inanimados? Também te acontece? Estranho!!!
E tu? Como estás? Novidades? Conta...quero saber tudo (podes deixar os pormenores sórdidos de lado)...
Tens aproveitado o bom tempo? Faz tão bem não faz? As pessoas queixam-se do sol e do calor...mas não há nada melhor...tudo cheira diferente, as cores e até as pessoas (finalmente as pessoas começam a relaxar...já não aguentava tanta intolerância e nervosismo...anda tudo histérico).
Sabes do que tenho saudades? De aproveitar os dias de Verão como fazíamos antigamente...eram intermináveis...lembras-te?Agora passam tão depressa e com os ar condicionados nem sinto o verdadeiro Verão.
